Hancock's Resolution Visitor Safety Information   7/22/2020

                                   CAUTION

Hancock's Resolution is an unimproved site. PLEASE WATCH YOUR STEP. There are ticks and poison ivy in the woods and chiggers in the grass. DO NOT SIT UNPROTECTED ON THE GRASS. You are advised to wear sturdy shoes and put on bug spray! Check yourself and family carefully when you return to your car.

There is one place on the lower hill with broken glass (the old hot beds). Children should be warned not to pick any up.  Also, the 30 Chickasaw Plum trees on the lower hill have impressive thorns. PLEASE DO NOT WALK UNDERNEATH THEM.

When the park is open: Check in and visitor information is at the Barn/Visitor Center.  THE LAST TOUR WILL BE AT 3:45. Because of the small size of the rooms in the house, tours indoors are limited to 10 people.

-Restrooms are located very close to the main parking area and on the left side of the barn. If assistance is needed getting to them, we have a golf cart to help.
